Cambrian Hall is a dehradun Founded in 1954, it is a coed day and residential school in Dehradun. Affiliated to icse and isc and it is one of the icse boarding school in uttarakhand

The history of Cambrian Hall started with the late Maharaja Judha Shumshere J.B. Rana, ex-Prime Minister of Nepal. Subsequent to surrendering his Prime Ministership (1948) to his first nephew he moved to India upon the welcome of the Indian Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Home Minister, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. He settled down in Dehradun

Following the death of the Maharaja Judha Shumshere in 1952 and Maharani Gambhir Kumari 1955, their most youthful child Col. Shashi Shumsher JB Rana in conferences with his two more seasoned siblings, Santa and Rabi Shumshere JB Rana, changed over the Maharajas home into a private school for the offspring of the South Asia district. The intricate framework and the notable structures spread more than 35 bigas of land at 13 Young Road, presently fill in as a component of the grounds of Cambrian Hall.

The late Col. Shashi Shumsher J.B. Rana, a veteran government official and an educationist was a firm devotee of the significance of excellence and advancement in instruction to advance social change and improvement. In 1954, he moved toward Ms. Maude Mainwaring, viewed as one of the best instructor in the town and to help him in opening a school and in this manner started an Odyssey.
